HINGHAM, MA — Hingham police said both lanes of Route 228 were closed near Joy Lane Wednesday afternoon due to a crash. The road was closed about 3 p.m. in the area of Kilby Street and Rockwood Street. Hingham police said the road was reopened in both directions about a half hour later. Road Closure-Both lanes of Rte. 228 (East St.) near Joy Ln. are temporarily closed due to a crash. Expect delays in area.
