HINGHAM, MA — Hingham police said Route 228 was closed northbound near the Hingham Public Library Monday afternoon due to a crash into a utility pole. Police said the northbound lane was closed at Winter Street. Southbound traffic was still able to get by as of about 3:30 p.m. Hingham police said to expect delays if traveling in the area. Partial Road Closure-Rte. 228 (East St.) near Hingham Public Library is closed for NB traffic at Winter St. SB traffic still allowed thru. Due to crash involving utility pole.
