SANDS POINT, NY — Authorities are investigating the death of a man whose body was found near a Sands Point beach over the weekend. Sands Point police said a resident was walking near 30 Plum Beach Point Saturday morning when he discovered the body. The victim was pronounced dead by authorities and appeared to be a man in his 50s, according to police. An investigation is ongoing.
