Hingham Promotes Voting By Mail For Town Election

HINGHAM, MA — As Hingham plans for a socially distanced town meeting on the high school football field on June 20, the town is looking for residents to have their voices heard in the town election in another socially distanced way. The two is advocating as many residents as possible to participate in this year's annual town election via mail-in voting. The election has been rescheduled for June 27. Due to the coronavirus health emergency absentee, early voting and mail-in voting will reduce crowds at the polls on election day. Ballots are available for download on the town's website, and voters can contact the town clerk's office to request a ballot. Completed absentee ballot and early voting ballot applications must include a signature and can be emailed to [email protected], mailed to the Town Clerk at 210 Central Street, Hingham MA, 02043, or dropped off in the drop box in the Town Hall driveway. Residents who complete these applications will receive a ballot by mail and must return it to the town clerk by June 27. Ballots received after June 27 will not be counted.
