Hingham Officials Encourage Hand Delivering Mail-In Ballots

HINGHAM, MA —Hingham officials said on Wednesday that residents who would like to hand deliver their mail-in ballots — a practice Secretary of State William Gavin encouraged this week due to concerns about postal service delivery — can drop them off in the drop box at Hingham Town Hall. Residents are asked to drop off ballots for the Sept. 1 state primary in the "Hingham Town Hall" drop box located at the end of the town hall driveway at 210 Central Street. The deadline to return ballots is the 8 p.m. close of the polls on Sept. 1.
