ORLANDO, FL — A semi-truck carrying 1,000 bags of cocoa caught fire early Monday morning along I-95 in Volusia County, causing major delays.
According to the Daytona Beach Fire Department, the fire happened after the tractor-trailer's brakes malfunctioned.
Rescue crews said the driver was not injured, and no other vehicles were involved.
It's not clear if any of the bags of cocoa were salvaged from the fire.
According to the National Confectioners Association, it takes 400 cocoa beans to make one pound of chocolate.
