Press release from the Town of Hingham: December 17, 2020 Nomination Papers will be available January 2, 2021 for candidates interested in running for one of the positions listed below. You may obtain the papers through March 2nd, all are due back to the Town Clerk's Office on Thursday, March 4th. If Town Hall is still closed to the public, please call the office to make an appointment. We will get your papers ready for you to sign and pick up. If the Town Hall is open to the public, please stop by the Town Clerk's office. It is open Monday, Wednesday, & Thursday 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Tuesday, 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM, and Friday 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM. . The 2021 Hingham Annual Town Election will be held on May 1, 2021. Fifty certified signatures of voters registered in the Town of Hingham are required for a nomination to be valid. Candidates are advised to get additional signatures. The Secretary of State's office recommends seventy signatures. The papers must be returned to the Town Clerk's office no later than 5 PM on Thursday, March 4, 2021.
