Join us in Celebration of Haitian Heritage Month with Broward County Premiere of LUDI, a film by Edson Jean
Join the Pompano Beach Cultural Affairs Department as we celebrate Haitian Heritage month by the Broward County premiere of The LUDI Film Tour.
Edson Jean's directorial debut of LUDI accounts the 24 hours of a hardworking and exhausted nurse, who battles coworkers, clients and one impatient bus driver to learn her self worth as she chases the American Dream in Miami’s Little Haiti neighborhood.
The LUDI Film tour will launch multiple events to mend the lack of authentic representation of Haitian and Caribbean communities around cinema. It is a movement to celebrate and reclaim ownership of our existence. Through the arts, we will empower communities with a keen focus on heritage and place.
