Description
HINGHAM, MA — A bomb threat was called into the Linden Pond senior residential complex on Monday morning.
Hingham police are at the complex and closed off the entrance while they investigate. Police said there are no injuries reported. There are 1,200 residents in the complex but police reassured that the residents are not being evacuated as the investigation continues. Residents and staff are sheltering in place.
No word on who called in the threat or what was said on the call.
Linden Ponds is a 108-acre retirement community that offers independent apartments as well as continuing care programs. The complex opened in 2004 and is staffed by over 700 employees.
Extra units from neighboring towns were called in to help Hingham police with the investigation "due to the size of the campus."
Patch will update this story.
