Description
HUNTINGTON, NY — Overnight lane closures are coming to the Northern State Parkway in the Town of Huntington, the New York State Department of Transportation stated.
The westbound right lane on the Northern State Parkway between Exit 41 (Wolf Hill Road) and Exit 40 (State Route 110) in the Town of Huntington is set to be closed on Tuesday between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m., weather dependent, so an overhead sign structure can be removed. There will also be brief intermittent closures of both westbound lanes during the removal, according to the department.
Drivers were urged to plan accordingly and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of one's driver's license.
