IN-PERSON EVENT: This session will help startup founders and small business owners develop & refine their revenue models. THIS WILL BE AN IN-PERSON EVENT HELD AT ASCENDER.***Proof of vaccination is required to attend the event. This interactive workshop will provide you with the building blocks to develop (or refine) a revenue model that you absolutely fall in love with! Our featured facilitator, Monica Malik—serial entrepreneur, nonprofit executive, and business coach—will first walk us through different revenue models and considerations when selecting one for your business. Then, using examples and activities, Monica will cover the building blocks of a sustainable revenue model, including long-term revenue sources; variables to factor into your model; and tips on using a revenue model to make projections for the future. The workshop will also explore quick and easy tools that help you input and monitor your revenue. In addition to her extensive HR experience, Monica has experience in sales, business development, strategic planning, and nonprofit management. Monica was head of an international food chain, managing over 500 employees and bringing in over $20 million in sales annually. Monica began utilizing her skills and expertise to help Pittsburgh businesses, both for and nonprofit, achieve their goals and increase profitability. She has supported organizations in the areas of innovation, HR strategy, Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion, and collective impact, among other things. In addition, Monica is a Grow with Google coach. She is a member of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, on the Board of Directors of Radiant Hall, on the Low Income Assistance Advisory Council for the Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority, on the Board of Trustees for the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, and on the advisory committee for the Culinary Program at Bidwell. In 2007, Monica received a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Pittsburgh.
