Description
BELLEVUE, WA — Another springtime tradition in the Pacific Northwest returns to Bellevue at the end of this month, with the annual sheep shearing at Kelsey Creek Farm Park. According to the city, the family-friendly event has drawn crowds since the 1990s, as revelers gather around to see the sheep freed from their winter coats.
Professional sheep shearers walk through each step of the process, which can produce up to 10 pounds of wool per sheep. This year's event is scheduled for Saturday, April 30, and will take place rain or shine.
Crafts, food, spinning demonstrations and wagon and pony rides will round out the stable of activities, and residents will be able to utilize free parking on-site or take a shuttle from the Wilburton park-and-ride.
