MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — The filing deadline for the local Gubernatorial Primary Election was Friday. There were some last minute switches, including former County Council president Tom Hucker withdrawing his county executive candidacy and entering into the race for the County Council At-Large seat instead. There were two new filings in the county executive race just last week — Shelly Skolnick and Reardon Sullivan entered, widening the pool to invalid four democrats and two republicans.
