AVALON, NJ — A sailboat washed up on the beach on April 14 after the anchor lost ground overnight, according to a report by the Cape May County Herald. The boat's owner had anchored it and slept onboard overnight. The boat, a Pearson 35, washed up on Avalon's beaches. The owner walked off the boat and onto the beach before the Coast Guard arrived, the news outlet reported.
