I want to hire a competent, licensed and insured contractor or carpenter to build a deck. Hopefully, you can get and supply the lumber at a discount. I want a deck behind my house starting at ground level like the patio and extending about 12' over a hill side.. A basic rectangular deck about 34x12 plus, About 420 sq ft.
