Man Accused Of Striking Woman With Glass At Portsmouth's Press Room

PORTSMOUTH, NH — A Queen City man faces assault charges after being accused of smashing a woman in the face with a glass at a local restaurant on April 8. Around 11:30 p.m., police were sent to the Press Room on Daniel Street for an assault report. A woman was struck with a glass and taken to Portsmouth Regional Hospital for treatment. A suspect fled the area before police arrived. An officer investigated the incident, which led to a suspect being identified: Michael J. Rohan, 29, of Manchester. A warrant was issued for his arrest for reckless conduct and two assault charges. Rohan was booked and processed on the warrant, without incident, on April 16. He is due in Portsmouth District Court on June 13 for arraignment. Anyone with additional information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact the investigating officer, Officer C.
