Description

This all-wood mahogany dresser from the mid-'40s has been painted and decorated for a new life. It is painted and antiqued a green/gray color and features an English country toile decoration on the front and sides of the 3 drawers. The original pulls have also been distressed. Tongue and groove drawer construction. The dresser features the stamping of "Mengel Permanized Furniture" and also has the original small plastic "Mengel Man" logo embedded in the top drawer. The Mengel Company started in l877 in Louisville, KY and has a long, rich history, including the services of industrial designer icon Raymond Loewy, post-World War II. Dimensions: 44.5" long; 35" tall; 18.5" deep at the sides Viewing/pickup at Point Dume Club in Malibu. More photos available. Fits in a Prius XLE. Much prettier in person!
