Press release from the City of Champaign: Officers from the Champaign Police Department responded to the 1200 block of North Market Street at 12:43 p.m. on April 17, 2022, for a report of shots fired. A short time later, a 27-year-old male victim arrived at a local hospital by personal vehicle with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. He is presently in stable condition.
