ARGO, AL — A Walker County man is behind bars charged with murder and third degree domestic violence after a woman was shot and killed Friday morning in the Argo community. Click here to subscribe to our free Tuscaloosa Daily newsletter and breaking news alerts The Walker County Sheriff's Office over the weekend said Argo resident Lawrence Rayburn Mitchell, 69, has been formally charged in the death of Chasada Nicole Frost, 41. Frost was pronounced dead at the scene from a gunshot wound, investigators said. Additionally, the Walker County Sheriff's Office said the domestic violence charge against Mitchell comes from the reckless endangerment of another female at the scene. Mitchell was booked into the Walker County Jail, without bond and he is scheduled for a bond hearing Monday before the court.
