Sammy needs a home

Sweet Sammy is looking for a home. During the big Eastland fires we decided to rescue Sammy and bring him to Austin to hopefully find him his forever home. Sammy is about 10 months old, is fixed with all his vaccines, and is fully potty trained. He is truly the sweetest boy. He loves to snuggle and is so affectionate that it breaks my heart to say goodbye to him, but our place is just too small and our little terrier is a terror. We initially thought we might keep him, but our terrier is so territorial that we have had a couple of bad fights. Sammy loves to go to the doggy park and plays great with all the dogs there. We definitely think Sammy would do best in a home where he is the only dog because we honestly are not sure if the fights are due to our terrier or him still being traumatized from being at the Eastland pound which was quite stressful. Sammy looks like a border collie and lab mix, but he is not hyper at all. He weighs 55 lbs and loves to just chill with you and is just so lovable. Again, we did not adopt Sammy with the intention of keeping him, but mostly because the fires were 5 miles away from the pound, and the pound was overrun with even more dogs due to the fires.
