Description
This is Winnie, the tri-pawd. She's a female German Shepherd, pure bread, and is roughly 6 years old. She is very kind and gentle, but also a great guard dog. She is at a healthy weight of 78 lbs. With only one back leg, she still gets around amazingly--she loves running, walking, and playing.
I found her on the side of the road just over one year ago. She had been hit by a car, which shattered her left hind-leg, and she was severely emaciated. After taking her to the vet, they said that her leg had been broken for nearly a month, so it was best the amputate it and save her mobility.
She also developed spondilosis, which is something like arthritis, in her spine. She requires physical therapy twice per month ($27 per session) and a daily joint supplement to maintain her comfort and mobility.
I love her a lot, but I am a college student who can't keep up with her needs. I just want the best for her, but I don't have the time or resources. I'd love to discuss details or answer any questions that you may have. Feel free to text or email.
