We are looking for an shipping manager to manage daily shipping and distribution operations. You will be the one to ensure complete orders are shipped and delivered in a timely manner. A successful shipping manager is analytical, well-organized and excels in communication. They must be comfortable with paperwork and information systems and have great knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures, as well as physical work of shipping and receiving. The goal is to ensure that the shipping processes are running smoothly and effectively. Our ideal candidate will be: Warm, friendly and calm, able to communicate and work well with a variety of people Comfortable with ambiguity, flexible/able to manage change, and able to problem-solve independently Very organized and detail oriented Comfortable with physical work and managing physical workflows and spaces Strong personal values, including taking health and safety seriously and doing the right thing Job details: full time (40 hours) flexible and part-remote hours, but centered in M-F 9-5 time frame $15-16.50/hr based on experience paid sick leave and PTO are offered We are taking COVID seriously. Core responsibilities will include: Use software to track, check, prioritize and route orders Manage all important documents such as advanced shipping notice, pick slips, bills of lading etc. Direct the flow of packages from preparation to shipment Inspect labels, barcodes and other features of completed orders Supervise and lead subordinates (receiving clerks, order pickers etc.) Collaborate with warehouse, purchasing and other managers to optimize processes Resolve issues regarding shipped orders If you’re interested, email your resume and a cover letter.
