I am an older metal head who currently writes and records his own songs under a fictitious band name. I have released 3 albums so far through DistroKid but now I am getting the urge to either join a band or start one from the ground up and play out. I have a ton of songs written, mostly metal, but I am not looking for hired guns to just play my songs. I would like to play some of my songs but I am not a control freak who is going to demand that they be played note for note. Creative input would be expected and if we used my songs you would have the ability to add your own touch to them. Like I said, I am older (47) but I look young and feel great. My influences range from 70's metal, hair metal, grunge and current metal. My voice is more like 70's metal and most of my songs have an older feel to them but could work in a modern setting. I currently play all the instruments except drums and keys on my songs. I would prefer to play guitar but I don't need to be the lead. I would even play bass or sing if it called for it.
