Description
Rehoming my chinchilla named " bunny"
About 5-6 months old. Was told it's a boy but I believe it's
a girl.
I work too much and since they're active mostly at night I
don't give it the attention it should get.
$150 rehoming fee if you're looking only for the
chinchilla.
$250 if you only want everything she has.
-2 floor enclosure (critter nation) with scat guards.
-few wooden ledges.
-Bag of food that's 3/4 full
-Timothy hay that's more than 1/2 full.
-Water bottle
-Hay rack
-Food bowl
-Dust and Cat litter box for the dust bath (I have her do her baths in the litter box so most of the dust stays contained while she's dusting)
This is not a pet for beginners. Please do your research before getting one.
Since they have so much fur they have to stay cool. They can DIE from heat exhaustion/stroke if they are kept warmer than 75°.
A “fan” alone won’t keep them cool enough.
Chinchillas can’t have any fruits. Vegetables. Nuts. None of that.
Refrain from getting plastic accessories for cages or anything with ropes because they’ll try eating it & they could die.
They need dusting every 2-3 days. That’s how they keep clean.
DO NOT PUT THEM IN WATER. Their fur is so dense that it cannot dry properly on its own and it can cause them health problems.
