The best rehearsal/DIY demo recording studio for the price in Portland, featuring a Yamaha C7 grand piano, vintage & new amps, great natural light, and vibrant artwork. Great for individual practice, small to large ensembles (we've had a 15-person band fit & work acoustically), teaching/masterclasses, recording for demo tapes, among other uses. FOR RECORDING: please note business hours (9-5 PM, M-F) may have local industrial noises that may interfere with recording. The space is not 100% isolated and sensitive mics may pick up sirens/horns/saw noises during typical work hours. We've had classical, punk, rock, jazz, metal, and other alternative groups rehearse in our space, and as of yet no genres are incompatible! Email for more details & amp; website for booking. We offer two spaces (3rd/4th coming soon): 1. Rehearsal/recording space for $20-30/hour depending on use: $20/hour for weekly timeslot reservations paid monthly, $25/hour for irregular rehearsals, and $30/hour for large ensemble/orchestra or recording usage. 2. A small teaching/quieter practice room for $10-15/hour. Drum kit without cymbals available. No loud practice if there is overlap with large space rehearsals. Reservation hours available 9 AM to 11 PM all days with exceptions for some one-off recordings. Payment in advance with rescheduling option with minimum 48 hour notice. Refunds at our discretion, standard one-week notice of cancellation.
