NEW LONDON, CT — Three people were injured when a car struck a 13-year-old child and a building Tuesday, according to police. The call came in at 2:30 at 320 S. Frontage St. reporting a car vs. pedestrian motor vehicle accident with injuries. A car had traveled through a parking lot, struck a 13-year-old child, then struck the Harbor Freight building and a cement abutment. Police said the child was transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The two people in the car were transported to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Investigation into the accident is ongoing. Any witnesses to the accident are encouraged to contact the New London Police Department.
