Earth Tech Industries Landscaping 1.1 This standard procedure establishes and describes the duties, authority, and responsibilities of Foreman for Earth tech Industries. 2.0 BASIC FUNCTIONS 2.1 Supervise, coordinate, and control a team, or several teams, of workers at assigned worksites to achieve planned production rates in a safe, cost-effective, and quality-focused manner. This is a working supervisor position and thus requires the incumbent employee to have equivalent knowledge and to perform the same activities as those being supervised. 2.2 The Foreman must have the ability to understand how the job goes together and envision the work to be performed including a perception of difficulties that may be encountered. 2.3 Ensure sufficient labor, materials, and equipment are available to complete the planned work on schedule. 2.4 Direct the activities of all employees assigned to his responsibility. 3.0 REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS 3.1 The Foreman reports to the Project Manager. 3.2 Reporting directly to the Foreman are the assigned team members. 3.2.1 Helpers 3.2.2 Apprentice(s) 3.2.3 Field Technicians 4.0 AUTHORITY 4.1 The Foreman has the overall authority to take any reasonable action necessary to carry out the responsibilities of the position, which is consistent with established company policies, as set by the company. 4.2 The Foreman derives his authority through the delegation of responsibilities from the Project Manager. 5.0 RESPONSIBILITY and DUTIES 5.1 Apply leadership skills to plan, encourage, and direct the assigned employees to achieve the planned production each day. Must be able to accurately quote landscaping jobs, and design and read blueprints. Contract management to work within the allotted hours with the ability to see a project through from beginning to end. Most importantly be able to stay within the budget and time frame of the quoted job.
