NEW LONDON, CT — Local land-use approval has been secured for a nearly $20 million pedestrian bridge that will link downtown to the site of the future National Coast Guard Museum, according to The Day. Talks continue with state officials on the release of funds for the project. The Planning and Zoning Commission granted conditional approval earlier this month for a 400-foot, glass-walled pedestrian bridge that will cross Water Street to the estimated $100 million National Coast Guard Museum. The museum and bridge projects will proceed in tandem per an agreement with the state. Read the full story in The Day.
