Connecticut College Student Arrested On Voyeurism Charges: Police

NEW LONDON, CT — A Connecticut College student has been arrested after a reported incident of voyeurism in a dormitory bathroom, according to police. Nicholas Spellman, 19, of 11 Forest Glade Drive in Wilbraham, MA, was charged with voyeurism and disorderly conduct. He was released on bond and assigned a court date of Nov. 20. His arrest is in connection with a report of voyeurism Saturday at 10:11 p.m. Investigation into the incident is ongoing. In a separate incident, Carlos Alberti, 21, of Richmond, Mass., was charged with 36 counts of voyeurism in connection with incidents between October of 2018 and January 2019. Police said the incidents involved cellphone cameras that were pointed at women who were preparing to shower at residence hall gender-inclusive bathrooms.
