BAY SHORE, NY - If you're looking for a new companion, consider starting your search at a local animal shelter like the Islip Animal Shelter. Despite the coronavirus pandemic, many pets are still looking for their forever homes and shelters are still working to fulfill adoptions. One of their available pets is Jasper, an 8-year-old male hound/terrier mix. Here's a full description of Jasper from the Islip Animal Shelter Facebook page: Meet Jasper! Our 8+ yr old Hound/Terrier x who has been with us since March. Jasper is very sweet but he doesn't like to share his food. He is a senior who loves affection and a lot of belly rubs. He would do best in a home with no other dogs and kids over 10. Jasper has tested ok with cats so far but will continue to be tested.
