Hello! Growing By Leaps & Bounds is a group child care center located in Burlington, MA and has been licensed through EEC since 2004. There are 4 quaint classroooms. Infants: 1 month to 15 months with 2 teachers Toddlers: 16 months to 2.9 with 2 teachers Preschool: 2.9 to 4ish with 1 teacher PreK: 4 ish to 5+ (graduating off to Kindergarten) with 1 teacher We have a few positions open but first and foremost we are looking for a kind, fun and friendly individual to join our wonderful toddler classroom. The toddlers are a very cute, sweet and so, so cuddly group! They have good manners and are all very friendly with each other. The toddler classroom has a very nice teacher of 6 years: Miss Britany. She loves her toddlers and is great to work with. She is looking for a co-teacher to join her "toddler family”! You would be an assistant teacher which has room for growth into other qualifications in the future such as teacher, lead teacher and more should you so choose. As an assistant teacher you would be working alongside and equal-to Miss Britany. Both of you would share in the joys of teaching the toddler children through reading stories, singing songs, facilitating conversations during mealtimes and during free-play times. There would be plenty of outdoor play time in our large fenced-in play yard and neighborhood walks. There is a fun and engaging curriculum that the classroom follows that is based on a theme and we will create art projects or group activities based on the theme. The day is structured and has a routine but is also flexible in ways to promote different classroom vibes or moods throughout the week. GBLB has an amazing group of other teachers at our program as well. We all get along so nicely, enjoy each others company, bend over backwards to help each other out, remain accountable, reliable and dependable for one another and many of us spend time together outside of the center as well. We all truly enjoy going to “work” every day! We are open Monday through Friday 7am to 5pm and your individual scheduled hours would vary between the opening and closing hours of the day where you’ll be averaging between 34-40 hours per week.
