Description
OK...if you're the same outfit that's been trying to book bands this way for several years (I checked...you are), good luck. Besides, according to the calendar on your website, you're booked for the next 50 years. How the hell did you do that?
Following or no following, I wouldn't work for you, "west county bar", on my last day. I've heard too many horror stories.
I don't waste advice on people who are permanently stupid. But for other reading this who may benefit from your total ineptitude, it works the other way around.
Bar owners find bands they believe will draw. They look for a quality group that will please a crowd, get them to sing along and dance, and ultimately, spend money.
In short, booking bands is a skill of its own. When you do it right, your bar gets a rep for being "that place where you can hear a great local band". And the cycle continues. If you don't believe me, look at the successful bar-venues in the bi-state region. Then have a look at the ones that have fallen by the wayside.
Oh, by the way...when you earn a reputation for stiffing the bands you book, "west county bar", you'll never get a band to work for you twice. Hard to start a cycle of success that way.
A word of advice to the stupid: Just run a damn bar, "west county", and forget about trying to book a band.
