Groundskeeper is hiring. Join our team! Lawn Maintenance / General Labor – Entry Level • Weed Trimming, hedge trimming, general cleanup • Moving and install basic landscape materials (mulch, stone dirt) • Operating light-medium equipment (string trimmer, push mower, push spreader, hedge trimmer, leaf blower, reciprocating saws) • Use of hand/yard tools (pruners, sheers, rakes, shoves, wheel barrows) • Use of ladders (tall hedges and gutters) • Spreading seed and granulized weed/feed via a push hopper • Spot treating weeds with a spray herbicide via a simple hand pump sprayer Requirements and Qualifications (Previous experiences NOT required) • Physically demands - lifting 80lbs regularly, walking/squatting/bending over/climbing • Experience with a weed-wacker, and a wheel barrow. • A cell phone (communication is key) • A vehicle (you may be asked to run for parts from time to time or meet/relocate to another site) Desired Experience • 2+ Seasons with a previous Lawn Care provider or Landscaper • Basic knowledge of small engines (mix V gas, choke V throttle, general maintenance) • General perception of the job and how to complete it without a rigorous levels of direction from a foreman. (Laying much is pretty standard on each mulch job, from one to the next) About the Position This is a seasonal position from April-October. Should we have the availability to work sooner/later in the season, we will offer you the option. Hours are 20-40/week, the more reliable, dependable, and available you are, the more hours we can schedule you. Work days are Mon-Fri (weather pending), we work in moderate weather conditions, but often the weather dictates what we can accomplish. If we need to make up a missed day on the weekend, you may be asked to work either a Saturday or Sunday (never both). We try to keep our work limited to weekdays. For this entry level position pay starts at $12, on up to $15 based on experience.
