We rescued Summer from an animal shelter in Idaho at the end of February 2022. She was a transfer from Texas and looked to be used as a puppy mill or a stray that had a lot of litters. Summer was underweight and docile when we adopted her. The shelter had her spayed, microchip (including vaccinations) and we had her checked by our vet when we brought her home. We have found as Summer has gotten healthy that she is not a good fit in our home. She needs to be in a home as an only animal (she is cat reactive and aggressive to other dogs) and have a fenced space to enjoy the sun. We have trained her to use the patio dog door and she will reluctantly kennel. Summer likes to cuddle in the recliner with you or sleep away the day with you in bed. I take her on two walks per day (over 1 mile each) which she enjoys. Summer should level her weight at approximately 45-50 pounds and she is possibly 5 years old. Summer will come with a collar, leashes, a bed and two outdoor coats. I will require the new owner to take over her microchip account at the time of transfer.
