Amalgamated Culture Works is a Burlington, VT screen printing company located in the heart of the southend art district. We’ve been custom screen printing shirts since 1981! Today we split our time between custom prints and our in-house designs that we ship to retailers all over the country. We’re in need of a Production Assistant to work closely with our printers and Production Manager to run jobs on our manual and automatic presses. This position will assist in a variety of tasks from unloading and stacking garments, mixing inks, reclaiming screens and general cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
Key Points:
● Full time - M-F - 8hr shift with some flexibility in start time
● In person at our Burlington, VT shop
Responsibilities
● Assist with printing, as part of a production team
● Unloading garments off press
● Sorting, stacking and folding garments
● Mixing inks
● Taping screens
● Reclaiming screens
● Cleaning press and production area
● Assist with general maintenance and workflow, as needed
Skills & Attributes
● 1-2 years of work experience in manufacturing or production environment
● Strong listening skills, ability to follow directions
● Engaging personality and optimistic outlook
● Willingness and ability to learn new skills and systems
● Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
● Ability to stand for several hours at a time
● Screen printing experience is a +, but willing to train the right person
