As a Maintenance Worker for the City of Springfield, you will have the opportunity to serve the community working in a variety of capacities and departments including Environmental Services, Parks, or Public Works. Maintenance Workers assist in the repair and maintenance of city streets, sewers, waterways, bridges, parks, ball fields, sports facilities, right-of-ways, watersheds, grounds, and/or other city property. Maintenance Workers also get to perform entry-level equipment operation such as dump trucks, salt spreaders, snow plows, and other similar equipment. Our Maintenance Workers work year-round maintaining our streets, sewers, and public grounds to ensure our community continues to be one of the best to be a part of.
