looking for bass for jazz project

Jazz project with weekly( mostly) rehearsals- primarily real book stuff- for jazz project. Vibe is important - looking to have fun, rehearse and do some gigs eventually but if you view rehearsal only as a means to an end this might not be the best fit. Transportation, gear and happy attitude are essential. Upright/contra bass would be cool but not necessary. We have keys, drums, conga, guitar and horns already in place but sub and drop in's are cool as well.
