Description
Just some ramblings after a LONG holiday weekend.
In America, we seem to fear youth, the same generation that said: "Don't trust anyone over 30." Go figure. We chose between two very old men to be our leader, one mean, hateful, self-centered; probably a Narcissist. The other, fumbling for words, his youthful stuttering now returned in full force. Those who don't support both viciously attack the other for their deficiencies. So we continue down our merry path of being a nation divided, never seemingly to fully appreciate that a divided nation is very easy to conquer.
Being that our boards nationwide are filled with the religious, trying to capitalize upon the national fear of all the events going on, it makes my mind wonder to what the "Good Book" says about national leaders. It gives us gems of wisdom suggesting we are in the world, not of it. It also predicts at the end of the current age, a man will come, so handsome, so charismatic, so full of youth, enthusiasm, great ideas, so able to pull people together, he will be universally loved by all, no matter of political ideology. All save a handful who are able to see through his exterior. They will be viciously attacked by this leader's supporters just as we attack one another here, (only worse.) And this my friends will be "the beginning of sorrows."
Why not put down your armors, stop seeing fellow Americans as "we vs. them." Live and let live.
