Food shortages are coming and to call it a shortage i putting it mildly! Plant some seeds, get some chicks (chickens will eat almost anything) if you have animals, stock up on their food as well. If you have cats,, you will have to keep tem inside or they will get eaten (it is going to be that bad). Do not depend on others, preppers and farmers have weapons and are prepared to defend what they have with their lives!
