Portland's First Unitarian Committee for Earth presents a screening of the film NECESSITY: Climate Justice and the Thin Green Line Join First Unitarian Portland’s Community for Earth on Sunday, April 24 from I to 2:30pm for a viewing of the film NECESSITY: Climate Justice and the Thin Green Line . After the showing we'll present a distinguished panel of filmmakers and climate activists responsible for Speakers include: Jan Haaken, Professor Emeritus of Psychology, Portland State University, and documentary filmmaker Cathy Sampson-Kruse, Waluulapum Band, Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation, Associate Producer of NECESSITY, and champion of the Thin Green Line movement This film portrays the moral imperative to take nonviolent action to achieve climate justice, is in our Unitarian-Universalist tradition.
