Join your neighbors for an evening to benefit the volunteer-run Faubourg St. John Neighborhood Garden! Since the 1990s, volunteers have tended the Faubourg St. John Neighborhood Garden on N. Dupre Street, where we grow food for volunteers, neighbors, and local community organizations. This year, we’re hosting an open house and fundraiser to welcome our community to the space and to raise funds for much-needed improvements and supplies to keep our garden growing year-round! Garden Open House - 5-6:30pm, 1001 N. Dupre St. | All ages & free! Join us in the garden for tours, seed-planting, and to learn about our on-site composting and what we grow throughout the year. Water & garden-fresh popsicles provided! Reception to follow (21+) - 6:30pm | Address in neighborhood, available upon registration | $30 suggested donation | No one turned away for lack of funds | Garden casual dress code Raise a toast to the flowers and veggies! Hosted in an iconic Bayou St. John landmark, this fundraising event features cocktails and fare from neighborhood food purveyors, items for sale made with ingredients from our very own garden, and an onsite silent auction.
