LCO performs a sonic gallery of mighty, moving, and majestic masterworks to end its 21-22 season. The LCO welcomes you to enjoy music inspired by a variety of non-musical sources. We begin with mighty and heroic music from Wagner's overture from "Rienzi", an opera celebrating the legacy of Rome complete with dramatic trumpet calls and a military march. Manuel de Falla's suite from "The Three Cornered Hat" features three magnificent dances to evoke all the color, flair and passion associated with the traditional music of Spain. Finally, the LCO ends with the venerable "Pictures at an Exhibition", which brings listeners through a literal sonic gallery of sorts. CONCERT BASICS: WHERE: Cralle Theater - Wyatt Hall @ Bellarmine University: 2001 Newburg Road, Louisville, KY 40205 WHEN: MAY 11 @ 7:00PM COVID POLICY: Masking policies at Bellarmine University have lifted, and as a result, we are no longer requiring guests to arrive and remain masked. As a continuing health precaution, the LCO intends to provide hand sanitizer and PPP as needed. Additionally, should Bellarmine University's policy change, it will be communicated to you before the concert date. Registration represents your agreement that you attend at your own risk.
