Looking for a home for a real good boy

Howie is a pitbull mix (possibly mixed with mastiff?) around 13 years old. I’ve had him since he was 1.5yrs old, but recently have been forced to move and the place I’m moving won’t allow him, which breaks my heart. He is great with kids and babies, and all humans. Sometimes does okay with bigger dog breeds. However, he has a very complicated past with small dogs and cats and cannot be around them. Thusly we’ve kept him away from dog parks and walks - we’ve been lucky to always have large yards for him to roam and play in so that would be best! But please no small dogs or cats because he is very aggressive with them. He has no health issues that I know of and is still active and happy. I’ve reached out to many pitbull rescues in the area and tried the Home to Home adoption program which has worked for us in the past, however I’ve had no luck and the rescues have actually recommended humane euthanization because of the risk of him ending up in a shelter or being abused. I’d hate for that to happen, so this is our last resort… Please reach out with any questions or concerns if you’re interested, I have about a week to rehome him at most at this point.
