Description

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Coronavirus cases in Framingham are continuing to rise at a steady pace. The city reported 34 new cases on Wednesday morning, which come on top of the 80 new cases reported Monday. The city has not reported any new deaths, but three people did die over the weekend. Framingham is now up to 267 active cases, the highest number in months. Meanwhile, Framingham was recategorized last Friday by the state Department of Public Health to a lower risk category, but only because the state has changed its ranking system. The city's main drive-up coronavirus testing site at the TJX campus will be open on Veterans Day. The walk-up testing center at the South Middlesex Opportunity Council (SMOC) will not be open due to the holiday.
