Earth Day: Urban Nature Walk In celebration of Earth Day and Arbor Day, join the Reservoir Preservation Alliance on a tour of the area directly outside of Reservoir #3 to look for and learn about the trees, small plants, and wildlife found in the Reservoir and throughout Jersey City. We'll meet between the entrance to Pershing Field Pool and the parking lot, then take a walk along the sidewalks surrounding the perimeter of Jersey City Reservoir 3 and talk about the plants growing on and around the perimeter wall, then end with a brief walk of Pershing Field itself. The walk will have a special focus on the trees of the area, but we'll be on the lookout for interesting smaller plants and for any wildlife that might be out and about! Items you may wish to bring: Binoculars for looking at things very far awayA magnifying glass for looking at things very closelyA water bottle- we'll be doing a lot of walking and talking!This event is open to all ages, but please ensure that those attending can handle up to two hours out and about. (Two hours is an overestimate, but will be our hard stop.) **Reminder: As the Reservoir itself is still closed due to trail work, we will not be entering the site. Please do not attempt to enter the Reservoir for this event.
