Enjoy Galveston's Historic Cemetery District during the most beautiful time of the year: Wildflower Season! Seen on Texas Country Reporter Join us in wandering through Trinity Episcopal Cemetery to hear stories from the past while enjoying beautiful sculptures from artists around the world, amid the wildflowers of spring. Your host is Kathleen Maca, the author of "Galveston's Broadway Cemeteries" and "Ghosts of Galveston." A local historian and writer, she has spent over 45 years researching historic cemeteries and is a Certified Tourism Ambassador. We'll meet in the Historic Broadway Cemetery District, where you'll be introduced to some of Galveston's former citizens - from heroes to villains, notorious to noteworthy. "Galveston's Broadway Cemeteries" ($22), "Ghosts of Galveston" ($20) and "History of the Hotel Galvez" ($22) and "Ghostly Tales of Galveston" ($13, for middle schoolers) books will be available for purchase and signing after the tour, or bring your own copy to be signed. Please note: Uneven walking paths. No video or audio recording allowed during the tour. Still photos are encouraged! Guide takes no responsibility for injuries incurred during tour. No restrooms on site. Tour will be given rain or shine except in the case of a severe thunderstorm.
