BAY SHORE, NY — A Bay Shore man was arrested Tuesday after Suffolk police said he killed his mother then called 911 and admitted to the crime. Logan Lawson, 24, was charged with first-degree manslaughter. Police said he killed his mother, Barbara, 70, at about 4 p.m. at an East Man Street apartment and then called police. Responding officers found her body and took Logan Lawson into custody. Police did not announce the cause of Barbara Lawson's death. An autopsy was scheduled. Logan Lawson was held overnight at the Third Precinct and will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip Wednesday.
