Flags for Heroes, hosted by Rotary Clubs of Fuquay-Varina honoring heroes and those who have served their family, community, and country. Flags for Heroes is community event hosted by Rotary Clubs across the country to recognize local community heroes and honor those who serve by displaying a flag in their name. Flags for Heroes also serves as a fundraiser for service initiatives of local Rotary Clubs, including supporting education; fighting disease: providing clean water, sanitation, and hygiene; promoting peace; growing local economies; saving mothers and their children; and protecting the environment. Proceeds from this fundraiser will support the charitable efforts and services of Rotary Clubs of Fuquay-Varina including educational opportunities for local youth including youth of our “Heroes”. There are many ways to support the Fuquay-Varina Flags for Heroes Initiative.Sponsor a Flag in honor or in memory of a hero who has served your family, your community, or your country. Become a Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum sponsor. Join us for the Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 30th at 10am as we recognize all of our military veterans and first responders who are no longer with us. Join us for the Closing Ceremony on Sunday, June 12th at 2pm. Your presence as each hero’s name is called shows our heroes and their families how much you appreciate their service.
