FRAMINGHAM, MA — AMC will reopen more than 100 U.S. theaters, including the Framingham AMC Dine-In, on Aug. 20. What's more, the company is celebrating its centennial by offering "movies in 2020 at 1920 prices" on opening day.
So dig into those couch cushions because you'll be dropping 15 cents on a ticket.
AMC plans to open two-thirds of its more than 600 theaters nationwide by the time Christopher Nolan's hotly anticipated and much-delayed blockbuster "Tenet" comes out Sept. 3. The chain is implementing new health and safety measures to help curb the spread of the coronavirus, including requiring all customers to wear masks, reducing theater capacity and upgrading ventilation systems.
The following theaters will open in Massachusetts Aug. 20:

AMC is bringing the classics back to the big screen, and admission to hits like The Goonies, Beauty and the Beast, Back to the Future, Grease, Black Panther, Jumanji and Ghostbusters will be $5.
The chain will also offer discounts on concessions through the end of October.
