FRAMINGHAM, MA — A 29-year-old man died early Tuesday morning after a fire broke out in a two-family home near downtown Framingham, according to officials. The fire started at around 2:45 a.m. in the kitchen of a home at 15 Clark St. The victim, Harold Anderson Jr., was the only person in the apartment at the time of the fire, according to the state Fire Marshal. "The fire started in the kitchen on or near the stove," a state Fire Marshal statement released Tuesday afternoon said. "The cause of the fire will remain undetermined but is considered accidental. Whether there was a cooking accident, a malfunction of the stove or an electrical malfunction cannot be determined due to the damage. There is nothing to suggest an intentionally-set fire." This is the second fatal fire in Framingham this year. Ralph Halpern, 67, died in a fire at a home along Swift Road on Jan. 20.
